hover over image to zoom

A fine tortoiseshell teacaddy by Lund of Fleet Street, the shape, with tapering sides and gently domed lid reminiscent of a loaf of bread. The lid lifts to reveal a pair of compartments with covers of matching tortoiseshell. The tortoiseshell panels to the main body are edged with ivory, the bun feet and knobs to the lids within are also of ivory.

William Lund moved to premises in Fleet Street in 1840, and changed his label in 1876 when he was joined by his son.
