Cavalry France 1916

An atmospheric sketch in oil on board inscribed to the reverse in pencil ‘Cavalry France’, attributed to Edgar Bundy and within an oak frame and mount. English circa 1916.

Edgar Bundy A.R.A. (1862-1922) was one of the English artists commissioned to produce works for the Canadian War Memorials Fund. Around 1918 Bundy produced a large painting of the landing of the 3rd Canadian Infantry Brigade at St.Nazaire, France in 1915.
