Silver & Tortoiseshell Carriage Clock

A fine and particularly attractive carriage clock, the thick tortoiseshell case with pieced and cast foliate mounts hallmarked London 1896, the first year of manufacturing for this silversmith, J Batson & Son (Henry John Batson & Albert Edward Batson).

The ‘French Movement’ chiming on a gong at thirty minutes past each hour.
