Georgian Mahogany Silver Chest 

A military campaign silver chest dating from around 1800, most attractively lined with a printed paper for Henry Wildey’s patent for a Wheel Iron, the remains of this same printed paper lining the base of the chest.

Made from planks of solid mahogany, joined by dovetail joints, clearly and attractively in evidence at each corner, with original brass fittings; lock, drop down handles and hinges, all fixed with steel screws. The lock original and with a period steel key.
