Two Trivets
Two plain and simple trivets, a pair in all but height, presumably made by the same hand and for the same house, but for use before two different fireplaces.
Plain, flat brass, remarkably retaining their original turned fruitwood handles, standing on wrought iron tripod bases with flattened feet.
English circa 1780.
Approximately 15 inches x 7 inches.
heights 11 and 12 inches.
One re-reveted during the nineteenth century using copper rivets.
