Shagreen Cased Travelling Writing Set
A French mid eighteenth century shagreen-cased travelling writing set.
The fine grained shagreen case is mounted with a silver metal hinge secured with six rivets, opening onto the contents of a screw-down silver metal ink pot and a screw together writing implement; a holder for a stick of graphite and a nib for the ink. In exceptional condition throughout.
