A fine cut paper picture, the design a crucifixion cross of flowers centred by a Chalice and Host with flaming hearts, standing on a mound made up of the elements of the crucifixion which have been further decorated with watercolour.
Above is the legend INRI; a text to the baseline, ‘O Crux ave, spes unica’, is taken from an ancient Roman hymn, ‘O Hail the Cross Our Only Hope’.
