Georgian Cut Paper Pictures
A fine pair of cut paper pictures, the central subjects, painted in gouache, being children, two small girls fighting over a wooden bodied doll and a boy refusing to share an apple.
The backgrounds finely cut all over and with lace-like borders, again produced by meticulous cutting and piercing.
Probably English, circa 1790.
