Georgian Pepper Caster
By the beginning of the eighteenth century the pungent and aromatic spice of pepper was established as a necessary table condiment, then as now. Made in Birmingham and sold in the developing cities of England, pepper casters such as this were also sent to America in considerable numbers and likewise distributed from New York and other cities along the East Coast of America.
