Military Campaign Easel
A Victorian military campaign folding easel, mahogany with brass hardware. 5 feet high when open and in use, the easel folds down to dimensions of 30 in x 6 in when travelling. English circa 1860. Drawing was a required skill for many serving soldiers, an easel such as this would proven most useful.
