Spanish Colonial Brass Stirrups

A good pair of Spanish Colonial cast brass stirrups, now with a deep dark patina, possibly made in Tibirita, Central Andes, an area of South America well known for metal working.

Stirrups of similar form are known to date from the 17th century through to the 19th century; the present pair thought to date from the second half of the 19th century.

10.5 in long x 5 inches wide x 5 inches high.
